Helen Ley House Care Facility Fire Door Installation
FD30 Doorsets for Specialist Care Facility
Doorfit awarded project supply and install
Helen Ley House is a specialist care facility in Leamington Spa, developed to provide a safe, compliant, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors. Due to the nature of the building and its vulnerable occupants, fire safety and compartmentation were critical elements of the design and construction strategy.
Doorfit Group – Fire Doors division were appointed to supply and install certified fire door solutions throughout the facility. Working closely with the main contractor, Sibbasbridge, Doorfit Fire Doors ensured that all fire door installations met the required regulatory standards while supporting the calm and residential aesthetic expected within a healthcare setting.
Project Scope
The project involved the supply and installation of 24 FD30 fire-rated doorsets across the building. This included 19 ash veneer FD30 doorsets installed within patient and communal areas, providing a durable yet visually warm finish suitable for a care environment. In addition, primed FD30 doorsets were installed within service and back-of-house areas, ready for final decoration.
All doorsets were supplied as complete, compliant assemblies and fitted with fully certified fire-rated ironmongery. Installation works were carried out strictly in accordance with manufacturer guidance, third-party certification requirements, and Approved Document B.
